I loved this knife, but to be utility knife metal quality should of went to a different material. dropped twice and has bent the structure of knife, causing half deployment, or no deployment. I dropped it twice on padded tile and caused dents. I can still use it. But it’s hassle now. I think, I wait until an upgraded one ever comes out, to buy a slquick release utility knife again. Nothing against seller, seller sent item fast. Just telling the truth that the structure material of metal is not very good.

I recommend this Out The Front automatic utility knife. The action feels good and secure. The trigger requires a good amount of force. It also has the safe feature where the blade will not continue to push out if it was accidently triggered. Resetting the blade if that happened is easy. The knife is light and handle fits nicely in hand while cutting cardboard. The knifes body and lock up felt strong and did not feel loose as I pushed the blade through cardboard. You can hold the knife closer to the edge for detailed work. Changing blades is easy. The non-skid on the side is strong.

This is definitely one of the best utility knife holders for its price point out in the market! It’s actually a OTF that is durable and tough! The OTF mechanism works very well(it takes an considerable amount of force to actuate) The body is an all metal with a nice deep black semi-gloss finish. I will say one gripe is that it comes heavily lubricated so just be aware it’s going to be oily when you first receive it. Overall, I’d highly recommend this knife holder!
